Il prossimo fine settimana prenderò parte ad un corso con Machiel Botman presso MiCamera a Milano. Il tema è “il fotolibro immaginato”. Credo che il tema non necessiti spiegazioni, in ogni caso si tratta di scelta di fotografie, e composizione di sequenze ed impaginazione di un eventuale libro. Next week end I’ll take part in a workshop with Machiel Botman  at MiCamera in Milan. The theme is “The photographic bookdummy” which does not need additional explanations. Anyway it is about editing, sequencing and making a layout for a book. If you are curious more details in the links.

Io ho incontrato Machiel per la prima volta circa dieci anni fa e mi è subito piaciuto il suo approccio alla fotografia. Inoltre il suo carattere aperto mi ha subito conquistato. Per questo corso mi è stato chiesto di…fare i miei compiti a casa: dovrò presentare un lavoro editato da me nel mio stile solito. In più devo portare del materiale nuovo su cui lavorare, fotografie, disegni, testi. Porterò una selezione dal progetto di Praga. Ovviamente devo portare anche entusiasmo e buon umore:-)

I met Machiel first time around ten years ago and soon was captured by his approach to photography. And I was soon conquered by his open nature.  For this workshop I have been ask to make my homework: I have to show a work I edited in my usual style. Than I have to bring new material on which to work, photographs, drawings, text. I’ll bring a selection from the Prague Project. Of course I’ll bring enthusiasm and for sure I’ll be in a good mood 🙂

Nel guardare il mio lavoro ho pensato di aggiungere qualche foto e cambiare un poco le sequenze. E allora acceso il computer, la stampante e la radio ho iniziato a lavorare. Come sempre in questi casi la casa è stata invasa da foto, appunti, foglietti, piccole stampe di prova…ma questo lo avete già visto nelle foto!

Looking at my work I got the idea to add a few pictures and change some of the sequences. Than I switched on the computer, the printer, the radio and started to work. As always in these cases my apartment has been soon full of pictures, notes, small test prints…but this you have already seen in the photos!
