Dal mio archivio, anno sconosciuto

Amo i libri, non è una novità. Alcune foto senza una data precisa. I libri li ho ancora.

I love books. It’s not a news. A few pictures without an exact date. I still have the books.

Ritratto in Seppia, scritto da Isabelle Allende è la storia di una donna che farà della fotografia la ragione della sua vita.

Portrait in Sepia written by Isabelle Allende is the story of a woman who found in photography the main reason of her life.

Max e Moritz, libro per ragazzi  illustrato e scritto da Wilhelm Busch e pubblicato per la prima volta nell’aprile 1865 è il primo esempio di libro a fumetti. Ho questo libro da quando ero bambino.

Max and Moritz, written and illustrated by Wilhelm Busch was published first time april 1865 is the first “comic” book for boys and girls.I have it since when I was a child!

E voi che rapporto avete con i libri? Amate leggere storie vere o preferite fictions?

And how about you? Wich relation do you have with books? Do you like to read treu stories or is your preference for fictoin?

  1. oooh that horsey reminds me of toys i had as a child… when i was a girl, i did nothing but read, i was very alone then, and found my friends in books…
i wrote a novel when i was in my 20s and developed writer’s block after that, and with it, reader’s block, the latter being the more heart breaking of the two.
love these old pics of yours, i have an old pic up for today’s post too!

    • I found the horse in a flea market many years ago and bought it because I had one like it when I was a child, I think 4 or 5 years old. Memories and books help our daily life, help us to keep our dreams alive which makes our life more pleasant, specially in difficult moments.

      • memories and books… if only i had ONLY memories OF books lol my favourite book as a little girl was ‘the incredible journey’… it combined my love of books with my love of animals, and i certainly did make my life more pleasant 🙂 thank you, robert xox

  2. Bon Giorno, Robert. Oh, Max und Moritz, have pretty much influenced my entire childhood, I still remember all the harsh punishments of them. Back than when I lived in Germany, I had a career as a professional bookseller and of course read thousands of books. Still I am an absolute bookworm, reading English and German books. Loved your post, thanks for sharing, Robert. Ciao

  3. Amo moltissimo leggere e ho un numero imprecisato di libri, ormai ho perso il conto. Leggo principalmente storie vere, anche se non disdegno altri generi.
Molto belle le tue foto dal sapore retrò.
    Saluti, Pat

    • Thanks Otto, yes it’s nice to have a large selection of books! Which makes more difficult to organize them on the shelves! But it’s also nice to have Rimbaud beside an Organic Chemistry book I kept from my studies or the biography of Steve Job near a crimi…life is not always a linear jopurney 🙂
