Those contact sheets remind me of the good old days of darkroom hours and the smell of those chemicals. You right saying in your comment above, deciding with the brain or the heart, I would tend more to the artistic heart, what you like to say with an image. Bon giorno my friend

The contacts I showed have not been made in the dakroom (I have no more one) but I left the film stripes on a light table and took a photo with the iphone and later inverted it in PS and printed digitally. It works quite well and easy.

contact sheets o no, è sempre un momento un po’ periglioso, anche un po’ eccitante, per decidere quali foto vale la pena stampare. lo è ancora di più quando si tratta di presentare alcune foto a un direttore di galleria su carta e non su uno schermo. soprattutto se devi viaggiare a Sarajevo o a Casablanca. E mi chiedo, caro Robert, cosa sia più importante: decidere cosa vale la pena fotografare o decidere cosa vale la pena stampare.
E’ vero, entrambe le cose dovrebbero andare di pari passo.
Ma nel decidere si deve seguire la ragione o l’emozione? Il cervello o il cuore?
