Ho chiuso la mostra poche ore fa. Sono contento di poter dire che è stata un’esperienza positiva. Sono molto soddisfatto. E anche un poco stanco ora. Solo un’anteprima per ora. Un articolo puù approfondito fra qualche giorno!

I closed my exhibiton a few hours ago. I’m glad to say it has been a positive experience.I’m very satisfied. And now I’m a ligttle bit tired. Here only a preview now. A more detailled post in a few days!

Imperfect Moments

Momenti Imperfetti

Questo è il titolo della mia prossima mostra fotografica. Saranno tutte fotografie Polaroid e Impossible, bianco e nero e a colori, scattate con pellicole nuove e anche scadute da tempo, nitide o meno nitide perchè la nitidezza in fotografia non è tutto 🙂

This is the title of my next photo exhibiton. They will be all Polaroid and Impossible photographs, black and white and colour, taken on new  or long expired films, sharp and unsharp because in photography sharpness is not all 🙂

For non italian readers it says “emotion from a roadtrip, a wabi-saby story, memories and daily life through the instataneous photography Polaroid”

Exhibition work

Lavoro per la mostra 

Sto ancora lavorando sulla prossima mostra. Foto da selezionare, da sistemare nelle cornici, da sole o raggruppate. Tante decisioni da prendere come decidere quale sfondo  sia più adatto? Chiaro o scuro?

I’m still working on my exhibition. Photos to be selected, to be placed into their frames, alone or in small groups. Many decisions to be taken, like which background is more appropriate? Dark or bright? 

Le foto della mostra saranno tutte Polaroid e Impossible, alcune in formato originale,  altre sono state scansionate e stampate in formato ingrandito su carte speciali.

The photos in this exhibition are all Polaroid or Impossible, some are exposed as original,  others have been scanned and printed in a larger format on special paper.

Opps, dimenticavo: il titolo della mostra è “momenti imperfetti” che in inglese sarà anche il titolo di una zine che sto preparando.

Opps, I was forgetting: the title of the exhibition is “imperfect moments” which is also the title of a zine I’m working on.

Se il blog è un poco lento per favore abbiate pazienza, ho tanto da fare! Sarà mia cura tenervi informati. A presto, e sapete che se volete commentare mi farà piacere leggere cosa pensate!

No, non sono lavori di giardinaggio anche se il verde mi piace. Sto lavorando per la mostra che terrò agli inizi di novembre. Se il blog è lento abbiate pazienza per favore. Non è sufficiente aver fatto tante foto per fare una mostra. Occorre farne una selezione, decidere delle sequenze e come presentarle. Tenendo presente quanto vogliamo comunicare con le nostre foto. Trovare il modo di avere una presentazione coerente con la nostra visione (fotografica e non solo) e che non annoi il visitatore. Trovare un ritmo…c’è tanto da fare e pensare…

No, it is not about gardening even if I like the greenery.  I’m now working on an exhibition of my photographs which I’ll have beginning november. If the blog is slow please be patient. It’s not enough to have taken many photos to make a show. You need to make a selection, decide how to sequence the pictures and how to display them. Keeping in mind what you desire to tell with your photos. You need to find a layout coherent with your vision ( photographic and not only) and which doesn’t annoy the visitors. To find a rhythm…there is much to  do and to think about…

Le foto saranno tutte Polaroid (e Impossible) e per il momento sto pensando ad una esposizione divisa in tre parti. Una parte sarà una striscia continua con le foto di un mio lavoro intitolato “Quando la notte sognavo di tornare bambino” . E’ un lavoro recente legato alla filosofia wabi-wabi. La bellezza nell’imperfezione…

The pictures will all be Polaroid  (and Impossible) and by now I’m thinking of an exhibition divided in three parts. One section will be made by a continuous stripe with the photos from a story I did entitled “When the night I dreamed to be a child again” . It’s a recent work inspired by the wabi-wabi philosophy. The beauty in the imperfection…

Delle altre parti parleremo un’altra volta: adesso devo tornare al lavoro !

End of summer, printing time

Fine estate, tempo di stampare

L’amico blogger Otto von Münchow in questo articolo ci invita a completare i nostri lavori anziché mantenerli in uno stato indefinito nei nostri computer. Completarli e farli vedere. Per la nostra passione impegnamo tempo,  energie, soldi. E allora sarebbe un peccato non far vedere quanto abbiamo fatto. Al giorno d’oggi abbiamo molte possibilità di condividere le nostre foto, preferibilmente dopo averne fatto una selezione, anche grazie alla rete.

My friend blogger Otto von Münchow in this recent post invites us to complete our works instead to leave them in a semi transient state in our computers. To complete and show around. We dedicate a lot of time, energy and money to  our passion. And it would be a shame not to show our outcome. Today we have many possibilities to show our photos, preferably after a selection, thanks to net.

Devo ammettere che anche se a me piace stampare le mie foto, come potete leggere e vedere  in questo articolo, sono anch’io a volte colpevole di questo atteggiamento di pigrizia. E allora ho deciso di darmi una mossa e accettare la proposta di esporre le mie foto il prossimo mese di novembre.

I must admit even if I like to print my photos, you can read  in this post, I’am sometimes guilty of this particular kind of laziness . So I decided to get a move and to accept the proposal for an exhibition of my pictures next november.

Ho pensato di esporre le mie  Polaroid e Impossible, visto che ho sempre amato la fotografia istantanea. Ci sarà una serie tratta dal recente viaggio verso il nord europa e altre foto più datate. Alcune saranno esposte nella versione originale, altre le scansionerò  e stamperò in formato maggiore. E’ ancora un lavoro in corso.

I thought to exhibit my Polaroid and Impossible photos as I always loved the instantaneous photography. There will be a series from the recent road trip toward north europe and other photos from the past. A few will be shown as original and I’ll scan a few more in order to print them in a larger format.

Vi terrò informati su come il lavoro procede per ora anticipo qualche immagine.  I’ll keep you informed how the work proceeds, by now I show you a few pictures.
